DOTS ICT Institute of Technology, Abeokuta, formerly known as DOTS ICT, is a premier institution dedicated to advancing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) education in Nigeria. The Institute prepares students for the modern digital economy through quality technical education, practical training, professional certification opportunities, and industry-relevant academic programmes.
The Institute was officially commissioned on 29 July 2008 by the then Ogun State Honourable Commissioner for Education, Prof. Segun Awonusi. Since then, DOTS ICT Institute of Technology has built a strong reputation for technical and professional ICT education, combining classroom instruction with hands-on experience that helps students develop real competence.

In 2012, DOTS ICT Institute of Technology received Federal Government approval and accreditation from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) as an Innovative Enterprise Institution (IEI) to award the National Innovation Diploma (NID) in Computer Hardware Technology and Software Engineering. Academic activities commenced immediately after accreditation, and the Institute was subsequently listed in the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Brochure.
Following Federal Government reforms to strengthen Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and harmonize the National Diploma system, the National Innovation Diploma (NID) programme was officially phased out nationwide. DOTS ICT Institute of Technology received fresh approval in May 2026 from the Federal Ministry of Education and NBTE to offer the National Diploma (ND) in Computer Science, in line with current national education policy.
The National Diploma (ND) in Computer Science is a two-year programme designed to equip students with strong theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and industry-relevant competencies in computing and emerging digital technologies. Admission is through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Applicants are required to possess a minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings, and must have attained the minimum admission age of sixteen (16) years in accordance with Federal Government admission guidelines.
Upon successful completion of the ND programme, graduates may advance to Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes in specialized areas such as Artificial Intelligence Technology, Cybersecurity Technology, Computer Networks and Cloud Computing Technology, and Software and Web Development. Graduates may also seek Direct Entry admission into 200 Level in Nigerian universities for programmes including Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence.
Beyond the National Diploma programme, the Institute offers specialized training in globally recognized certification programmes, including Oracle, Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA, E-Business, ICT Essentials, and other digital skills courses. DOTS ICT Institute of Technology also maintains strategic partnerships with leading technology organizations, including Cisco, Microsoft, Oracle, Pearson VUE, and ISACA.
